 About FETP
FETP provides training and practical experience in applied
epidemiology at the National Institute of Infectious Disease (NIID) and
is funded by the Ministry of Health, Labor, and Welfare. The program is
designed for medical and public health professionals with previous
experience in public health and a keen interest in epidemiology.
Objective
1)To strengthen the practices of public health, in particular in the field of investigation of
infectious disease outbreaks of public health importance, surveillance of
infectious diseases, and control of communicable diseases in
Japan.
2)To develop a national and international network of experienced public health epidemiologistsd.
